about
Where do you go when you sleep? Would you stay there if you died during your slumber?
lyrics
I used to sleep, I used to dream when darkness fell
Never afraid of what might come when shadows grew long
Am I to close to the monsters in the day
Do I drag to much life into the grave
Falling in to your merciless control
I welcome you, its a strange addiction
Under Nightmares spell will I survive this sleep
Show me sights I never seen before
So if nightmares all that’s sold in slumbers arms
Why do I even return to these cold grounds
The night holds promise, touch the rivers edge
Gather those lost, see beyond the veil
Falling in to your merciless control
I welcome you, its a strange addiction
Under Nightmares spell will I survive this sleep
Let me cool my burning soul
Swallow me Morpheus, into sorrows tide
Charge the void, kill the light
Hold me fast tonight, slip into the stream
I can see the shadows on the shore
Charons lullaby, hear the boatman call
I will stay forever in these halls

First full lenght album by the band, preceded by the two excellent EP's 'Fault Line' and 'Reflections'. In line with their now characteristic sound and influences, October Burns Black deliver a great collection of tracks whose spell is impossible to resist.
Classy and classic gothic rock at it's best. Dionysos Nyktelios
This is the kind of gothic rock I absolutely love. Oldschool, guitar-heavy music in the vein of Love Like Blood. I'm really hoping for a full-length LP. WotanAK
In most US states, it's illegal not to get off your butt and dance to this band. The punk and deathrock roots come through, with a synth cushion. I'm a sucker for thoughtful lyrics with driving beats. zionengine
A killer re-release of a rare solo post-punk LP from 1988 by the frontman of Taste of Decay and Garden of Pleasures. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 17, 2022
Blood Relative is Publicist's latest post-punk salvo from the Forgive Yourself LP, steered by Zachary Lipez's unnerving baritone. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 17, 2015
New wave of Gothic Rock at it's finest. This band has top level talent from well renowned acts involved so wasn't the least bit surprised upon hearing the opening track. If you miss late 80's to mid 90's gothic rock bands, I can't recommend this one enough. m4rkos1334
